Arriving
To make your arrival as smooth as possible, our lovely onsite host, Jane, will personally welcome you, hand over the keys, and give you a short tour of the house and its amenities. Please let us know your expected arrival time a few days before your stay so we can be there to greet you. If your plans change, just send us a quick message—we'll make sure you have easy access and a relaxed start to your holiday.
Kitchen
Our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to feel at home, whether you're preparing a simple breakfast or a family dinner. You'll find a generous selection of cookware, dishes, glassware, utensils, a dishwasher, oven, stove, coffee machine, and a barbecue on the terrace for relaxed outdoor meals. Please make yourself at home and enjoy using everything as if it were your own. Please treat with kindness. We simply ask that all kitchenware and the barbecue are cleaned after use and returned to their proper place, ready for the next guests to enjoy. Thank you for helping us keep the house welcoming for everyone.
A/C, Heating & Water
The house has reliable A/C in all bedrooms and living spaces. Please use responsible and turn it off if you leave for a long period of time. We have a drink water tap in the kitchen but generally recommend buying water bottles. Hot water is available throughout your stay. During periods of drought, which can occasionally occur in this part of Spain, we kindly ask you to use water thoughtfully and avoid unnecessary waste — every little bit helps. For cooler months, the house is equipped with heating, which is available during the off-season to keep you comfortable. If you have any questions during your stay, please feel free to reach out.
Trash & recycling
The Costa Brava is proud of its beautiful natural surroundings, and recycling is an important part of helping to keep it that way. Inside the house, you'll find separate bins for plastics, paper, and general household waste to make recycling easy.
Please note that there is no doorstep rubbish collection. At the entrance to our street, you'll find the local recycling containers: yellow for plastics and packaging, blue for paper and cardboard, green for glass, brown for organic waste, and grey for general household rubbish. We kindly ask that you take your rubbish with you when you head out and dispose of it there regularly, especially before your departure. Please don't leave any rubbish behind in the house.
House rules
Pets are welcome by prior arrangement. Please kindly clean up after them.
Smoking is not permitted indoors, but ashtrays are provided for outdoor use. Be considerate of our neighbours, especially on the terrace after 10:00 pm. We kindly ask to refrain from applying sunscreen on the textile furnitures to avoid permanent staining.
Move on the grounds at your own risk, parents are responsible and liable to care for and supervise their children. Before you leave, kindly empty the fridge, take all rubbish to the recycling containers, and leave the house tidy. Please enjoy Casa Colina as your home away from home. We just kindly like to ask to treat our 2nd home with kindness and care.
Amenities
Casa Colina comes with everything you need for a comfortable stay: high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the house, A/C and heating in every room, a fully equipped kitchen, hair dryers, fresh linens and towels. Outside you'll find a private terrace with a barbecue, private garden with pool, sun loungers and outdoor dining area. We also have a Sonos music System available in the upstairs living area. If you would like to request cleaning of the house during a longer stay please reach out to us and we can arrange.
Before you leave
Please let us know your expected departure time so Jane can meet you at the house to collect the keys and do a quick walk-through with you. We don't offer self check-out, as we like to say goodbye in person and make sure your departure is as smooth as your arrival.
Before leaving, we kindly ask that you load and start the dishwasher, empty the fridge, take all rubbish to the recycling containers at the entrance of the street, close all windows and doors, and leave the house tidy for the next guests.
